Playa del Carmen Wedding – Chanthel & Eduardo
I can talk about how perfect destination weddings are and why you should consider having your wedding at Playa del Carmen all day long and believe me that wouldn’t even be enough. That being said, I am featuring one of my most loved couples Chanthel and Eduardo to the blog series ‘Real Destination Bride Interview’ to tell you all about it, including their favorite parts and why they decided on having a destination wedding. They held their special day at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen on September 7th, 2019.
One of my favorite parts was the actual ceremony. They got to say the ‘I DOs’ at the gorgeously decorated beachfront deck with a beautiful eternity floral arch where the aisle was a bridge overlooking the water. What a breathtaking moment was that! Especially when the bride was walking down the aisle accompanied by the classical trio who played romantic music. I will not give it all away, you must see the pictures. Here is the exclusive bride interview on why Chanthel and Eduardo tied the knot in Playa del Carmen wedding. And like Chanthel said, this wedding was a DREAM COME TRUE!

Your Name and your husband’s Name:
Chanthel and Eduardo
When and where was your wedding?
September 7th, 2019 – Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding? And why in Mexico?
We wanted a beautiful beach destination wedding that would be a fun vacation for our guests as well. Mexico was perfect as it has all the elements we were hoping for including gorgeous beaches, great food/drinks reasonably distanced and affordable.
Who picked the location and the date?
Of course, I did…Brides Win.
How did you find your wedding planner/coordinator, Paradise Weddings Events?
I found Paradise Wedding when looking at venues online. One of the venues I contacted, Villa La Joya a gorgeous mansion overlooking the ocean highly recommended Anna from Paradise Wedding. After several phone calls with Anna, I knew I could trust her to plan our dream wedding.
What was your wedding theme/ color scheme?
Peach, white, ivory, soft pinks.
Tell us your favorite things from the wedding ceremony and reception?
So many favorite things its hard to narrow. I loved the décor of our reception, it was so beautiful. The music was fantastic, our guests started dancing even before we made our speeches. It was great, everyone was ready to party and the ambiance was perfect.
What was your favorite part of having a destination wedding?
My favorite part was hearing how many people enjoyed the destination. We were worried that having a destination would limit how many people would come however we had nearly 110 guests eager for vacation and a wedding party. Most guests arrived a few days prior to the event or stayed sometime after our wedding to enjoy the surroundings, book day trips to Tulum, Cozumel or even venture out to see the ruins.
Describe your overall wedding experience in three words!
Dream Come True
Do you have any tips for planning a destination wedding for future brides?
Take your time finding a venue that fits your needs and vision. Be patient during the process, there may be hiccups that come along the way but its best to not overstress over the little things.
