Mexico Destination Wedding – Karen & David
Starting from today I am showing a new series on my blog called – Real Destination Bride & Groom Interview. I have been planning the series for so long and (for real) I am so excited to be sharing with you. To break the ice, we are starting with one of my favorite grooms from 2019 – David. Yes, you read that right – we are opening this Mexico Destination Wedding series with the groom.

Karen and David tied the knot on July 27th, 2019 at their private and intimate ceremony at Chapel Nuestra Señora Del Carmen and celebrated the rest of the night at the beautiful Villa la Joya together with their friends and close family. I was so honored to be a special part of Karen and David’s wedding and let me tell you we had the best time ever. Let’s see what the gorgeous groom has to say about their marvelous wedding day.
Real Destination Bride & Groom Interview
Your Names:
Karen and David Valdez
When and where was your wedding?
It was on July 27, 2019, at Villa La Joya in Mexico
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding? And why in Mexico?
The number one reason why we decided on having a destination wedding was that we wanted to celebrate the day with our friends and family. Most of our family is located in Mexico and what would be a better location for your destination wedding than Mexico.
Who picked the location and the date?
Together, Karen and I picked the wedding date and the location.
How did you find your wedding planner/coordinator, Paradise Weddings Events?
We decided to ask the manager of the breathtaking villa that we’ve booked for our wedding -Villa La Joya and they’ve recommended us to Anna. And we are so thankful for that!
What was your wedding theme/color scheme?
Our wedding theme was very beautiful. We like the pastel (Blush & gold details) colors so we agreed on incorporating them in our wedding theme. And of course – we wanted it to be romantic. So long short it was Pastel Colors/Romantic.
Tell us your favorite things from the wedding ceremony and reception?
Both ceremony and reception were amazing! We enjoyed every second of it. But if we have to choose one thing that would definitely be the view that we had during the wedding ceremony and reception. The view that looked over the stunning beach and the ocean.
What was your favorite part of having a destination wedding?
Our favorite part of having a destination wedding was seeing both of our families come close for such a special event and having a mini family reunion/vacation together after the wedding day.
Describe your overall wedding experience in three words!
Amazing, Breath-Taking, Perfect
Do you have any tips for planning a destination wedding for future brides?
YES! You must GET a Wedding Planner!
