Romantic Jardin del Mar Destination Wedding
We are beyond excited to share with you Rudi and Dominique’s destination wedding story! Today, we are going all the way to one of our favorite venues in Playa del Carmen, the famous Jardin del Mar.
How did it all start? Well, back in July 2020, Rudi & Dominique were one of the first couples to travel again to Mexico and do scouting after the pandemic. We had the best time seeing venues together. One of their ‘dream wedding wishes’ was to find a gorgeous private location where they can have a huge party with a live band until late hours. We understood the assignment and showed them this private beach location with a lot of space and a beautiful, well-maintained palapa. Immediately they said YES to the venue – and it was time to plan their Jardin del Mar destination wedding.
Jardin del Mar Destination Wedding
Their wedding was absolutely magical! The day started with the couple getting ready with bridesmaids and groomsmen in the charming Live Aqua Hotel in the Hotel zone of Cancun. At that same hotel, there is a ‘secret garden’ which was the perfect place for them to have the first look.
The ceremony set up on the beach is to die for. They wanted the arch to be made of different geometrical shapes with dried foliage and blush roses. One of the sweetest moments from their Jardin del Mar destination wedding was when Dominique walked down the aisle with the song ‘La vie en Rose’ played by violin and cello duo.
They followed the ceremony by a cocktail hour on the beach, with finger food and a live quesadilla station, cocktails, and craft beer boat provided by the talented Icaza Creativos Catering.
After the events on the beach, it was time for the reception in the palapa. Cascading string lights were hanging from the roof all the way to the infinity-led dancefloor. The tables had blue-tone napkins with golden details, candles, and a mix of white, blush, and burnt-orange roses, pampas, and eucalyptus as centerpieces. The night celebrations started with a three-course menu provided by Icaza, followed by a wedding cake by La Migaja, a churro cart by Los Pockets, and a cigar roller as entertainment for their family and friends. One of the most important details for the bride and the groom was the Live Band, which had us dancing all night on the dancefloor.
